This 32 mile trip is best done in two nights. Take HWY 12 up and over White Pass to RD 1200 on your right to a right split to RD 1207 till it ends in a couple of miles due to bridge troubles. Walk on road till it ends in 4 miles and take TR#1118 up to Tieton Pass and make the left split on the PCT TR#2000. Pass by Lutz Lake as the trail meanders higher into the upper MaCall Basin and find a camp there, about a 12 mile day. Today, start up to Old Snowy Mountain high up on the Goat Rocks Crest, it is about a 9 mile round trip to the top and back to your camp to enjoy a final sunset.

Why go now: Very little snow, Little to no mosquitoes, Less foot traffic due to road closure, Flowers are just starting
